5 Man Splinter / Barrage / Pet Teams in Sorrow's Furnace, Tombs, and Urgoz. It was not that profitable but getting a good team of 3 Ranger's, 1 Monk, 1 Necro working together was just amazing to watch happen.

Underworld and Urgoz trapping teams, again was never supper profitable but was a lot of fun when you had a good team working together.

Now all these farms have been replaced with solo farm due to nerfs. I wonder why people complain when they can't find anyone to group with anymore.

My favorite was vermin before the loot scaling. For whatever reason I used to get perfect mods and like 5 black dyes. Was able to salvage over three stacks of steel as well. Ettin was fun too but go in on the end of that so I missed most of the good stuff. Didn't do Sorrows much but the other posts remind me of the days when greens were flying off the shelves.

griffin and minotaur farming.

although not a farming spot, running the old chests in shiverpeaks for unconditionals and gold crystallines was fun.

Nobody has mentioned abusing the Riverside Province mission for gold armors yet, too bad anet came along and nerfed that one. My personal fave has to be griffons since i got my first "godly"(remember when that word was used in reference to perfect low req weapons?)req8/15^50 sword there. The mention of ettins almost brings a tear to my warrior's eye.

My favorite farming spot was dreadnaughts drift for the free chests, open each side and get 5-8 items, salvage them and warp. The guildies and I made a fortune doing this. 2 runners + 6 empty chars split = a whole bunch of crafting mats, sup vigor runes, and so on...

Also love the desert before the queen got there...

Can we have the chests back PWAEEEEESSSSSEE....

Loot scaling and AI scatter fundamentaly changed the way of farming. Pre nerf I had a good and easy time farming avicara, troll cave, griffs, minotaurs etc. Most fun was playing solo with my monk doing smite runs pre nightmares update and pre protective bond nerf.

In terms of money, I can still make enough gold to satisfy my gaming needs, yet the fun factor of farming decreased imo.

I agree. Except that, when I did this, Sup Vigor was 70-80K and Sup Absorb was 90-100K
Those were the good old days, chatting on TS with the guild while killing Ettins with my WaMo!

I liked the griffin/minotaur farm with my 55 monk.
I liked the vermin farm too. Now they scatter...
But the best place to farm, that didn't last very long unfortunately:

Remember how awesome Zealot's Fire was back in 2005? It would trigger on almost anything. Watch Yourself, Bonetti's Defense, Cyclone Axe, etc.

That, coupled with no AI scatter, made for some really quick farming runs.

1.) Griffin farming
2.) Ettin farming

Both with my warrior. *sigh* I miss those days...

W/M Spots.
Solo - Ettins, Vermin, Team - H/H Boss Farm Many Locations (Kill Groups then Solo Boss)

55 Monk
Griffins, Hydra's, DeadSwords, etc.

55 Nec
Solo Many Bosses for Greens

My Favorite was the A/E Boss Farms before the Perma came about. When it first came out it was Kinda Hard on some bosses.

Rit. (Spirits)
Boss Rape Build, still works so its not really nerfed.

Ahh yes Harvest Temple farming. All those lovely Flying 3's and roughly 100k/hr. *bows head for moment of silence*

Best place was the 4 keyless chests that spawned in the Arid Sea on top of the giant rock (where you finish the attribute quest). Each would drop 2-4 golds, which would have easily given me another 1k points toward the Wisdom title .

This was also at the time where perfect vamp or sundering bow mods were worth quite a bit (20k-ish)
